Time’s Echo receives Ralph Waldo Emerson Award

Time’s Echo has received the 2024 Ralph Waldo Emerson Award from the Phi Beta Kappa Society. The prize, which has been given annually since 1960, recognizes “studies that contribute significantly to interpretations of the intellectual and cultural condition of humanity.” Time’s Echo is the first book about music to be recognized.

The Society’s science-writing award this year went to Emily Monosson for her book Blight, and its Christian Gauss Award for literary biography went to Gregg Hecimovich for The Life and Times of Hannah Crafts. Congratulations to all the winners!
